Review: Stamp Shammy and Case

The Lawn Fawn Stamp Shammy ($8) and Stamp Shammy Case ($15) are game changers for the avid stamper! Why are they so wonderful? Read on to find out!

I've used all kinds of stamp cleaners over the years...from baby wipes to wet paper towels to special chemicals and stamp pads which purportely clean stamps but none is as good as the Stamp Shammy! This is what it looks like packaged and is activated once you add good old plain H2O. Get it really wet with water and wring it out. That's right....no chemicals or strong smelling stamp cleaners. Just WATER!

And here is what the case looks like. Once the Shammy is wet it can be folded and placed inside.

The solid piece can be put on the bottom

1. so that wetness does not touch your work surface or project.

2. you have a place to store it and don't lose it(!).

Experience tells me that #2 is just as important as #1!

My Stamp Shammy is well used. They do get stained with use but that doesn't stop them from doing what they are supposed to which is to clean your stamps! I use mine often and have had it over a year now.

So what makes this a game changer for the stamper?

Five reasons:

  1. You only use water and no chemicals (better for you and the environment) and there is no waste

  2. It doesn't leave small fibers on your stamp (like paper towels and baby wipes do)

  3. It keeps wetness off your surface so you don't ruin your project

  4. It's small and easily transportable (about the size of a deck of cards). Plus, will dry so if you pack it up you don't have to worry about bottles of cleaner accidentally leaking

  5. It is a cleaner and pad all in one (no need to take a stamp pad cleaner and chemicals)

This was definitely one of my favorite products of 2019! If you didn't see my list, you can check it out here:
